How long do you broil chicken thighs for?
I can't give you an exact time for broiling chicken thighs because there are too many variables! Here's what you need to consider:
Factors that affect broiling time:
* Thickness of the thighs: Thicker thighs will take longer to cook.
* Temperature of the broiler: Broilers vary in heat output.
* Distance from the heat source: The closer the chicken is to the broiler, the faster it will cook.
* Desired doneness: Do you want them juicy and tender, or well-done and crispy?
General Guidelines:
* Preheat your broiler.
* Place the thighs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
* Broil for 5-7 minutes per side for medium-rare.
* Broil for 8-10 minutes per side for medium.
* Broil for 10-12 minutes per side for well-done.
Important tips:
* Use a meat thermometer: Insert the thermometer into the thickest part of the thigh to make sure it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
* Watch your chicken closely: Broiling can go from raw to burnt very quickly.
* Flip the thighs halfway through cooking.
Enjoy your delicious broiled chicken thighs!
