How long do you fry chicken legs before they are done?

Deep-fried chicken legs

Prep and cook time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

- Eight boneless, skinless chicken legs

- 1 cup flour

- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

- 1/2 cup olive oil

- Lemon wedges, for serving

Directions:

1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

2. In another large bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.

3. Dip the chicken legs in the flour mixture, then in the panko mixture, making sure to coat them evenly.

4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

5. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken legs and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

6. Serve the chicken legs with lemon wedges.

Tips:

To ensure the chicken legs are cooked through, insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the leg. The chicken legs should be done when they read an internal temperature of 165 degrees F/75 degrees C.

Chicken legs can also be cooked in an air fryer. Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F/200 degrees C, and spray the chicken legs with oil. Cook for 10-12 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
