One of my chickens is bullying one other chickens. she has pulled all the tail feathers out and will not let her eat or sleep. how do i make this stop?

### Step 1: Separate them.

* Isolate the bully from the other chicken into separate areas. This will give the victim time to recover and get its tail feathers back.

Step 2: Trim bully’s beak

* Trim one side of the bully’s beak using poultry de-beaking equipment or a Dremel tool with sanding bit. Be sure to only trim off a minimal amount of the bully’s beak, otherwise it may have trouble eating.

* Continue separation from other chicken for at least 3 weeks.

Step 3: Provide more space.

* If possible, give all chickens more space to move around. The more space they have, the less likely they are to bully each other.

Step 4: Add more food and water sources.

* If chickens are fighting for food or water, add more food and water sources to reduce competition.

Step 5: Provide hiding spaces.

* Provide hiding spaces in the form of bushes or trees where chickens can retreat if they are being bullied.

Step 6: Monitor the situation and intervene if necessary.

* If bullying continues, reintroduce bully back into the flock to observe any negative behavior again. If behavior continues remove bully and keep separate from flock permanently in a separate pen.
