Here's a recipe to make chicken curry:
Ingredients:
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste for spiciness)
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (optional for a richer sauce)
- Salt to taste
- Chopped cilantro leaves for garnish
Instructions:
1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.
2. Add the chicken pieces and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned on all sides.
3. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
4. Stir in the garlic, cumin, coriander, turmeric, and chili powder. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until fragrant.
5. Add the garam masala, yogurt, and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
6. Stir in the heavy cream, if using, and bring back to a simmer for a few more minutes.
7. Season with salt to taste.
8. Garnish with chopped cilantro leaves and serve with basmati rice, naan, or roti.
