How to Make Oat Bran
Oat bran is a whole grain that is low in fat and great for lowering blood cholesterol. In fact, the American Heart Association recommends oat bran and other foods containing soluble fiber for people who have been diagnosed with high cholesterol. Research approved by the Food and Drug Administration has shown that three grams of soluble fiber per day, the amount in one cup of cooked oat bran, helps lower LDL cholesterol.
