Why is raw sugar good for us?
Raw sugar is not necessarily good for us. It contains slightly more trace minerals than refined white sugar, but not enough to make a significant nutritional difference. Its brown color comes from molasses, which contains some antioxidants and other nutrients, but again, not in amounts that are significant enough to make raw sugar a health food. Both raw and refined sugar contain high levels of fructose, which can contribute to weight gain, insulin resistance, and other health problems when consumed in excess. It's important to consume sugar in moderation, regardless of whether it's raw or refined.
