How to Make Chai Spice Blend
A good cup of chai has just the right combination of strong tea, milk, sugar and spices. There are many varieties of chai, and they are usually distinguished by the spice blends used to flavor the tea. A basic chai spice blend is quite easy to prepare, and will yield enough for about five cups of tea.
Things You'll Need
- 2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon white pepper (or 1/2 teaspoon black pepper)
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Instructions

Pour all ingredients into a small bowl.

Stir until thoroughly mixed.

Store the spice blend in a cool, dark place in a covered container.

Steep one teaspoon of chai spice blend in a teapot with your favorite tea for a delicious treat.
