What are triops?
Triops are small crustaceans resembling modern tadpole shrimp from the family Triopsidae. In some areas around the world, they are also known as shield shrimp.[2] Triops belong to the order Notostraca, also known as shield shrimp or tadpole shrimp, from the Greek νῶτον - noto- ("back") and ostrakon ὄστρακον ("shell").
