Why cats have chocolate?

Cats do not typically eat chocolate. Chocolate contains theobromine, a stimulant that can be toxic to cats. The amount of theobromine in chocolate varies depending on the type of chocolate; dark chocolate contains more theobromine than milk chocolate or white chocolate.

Symptoms of chocolate poisoning in cats can include vomiting, diarrhea, increased urination, rapid breathing, seizures, and coma. In severe cases, chocolate poisoning can be fatal.

If you think your cat has eaten chocolate, contact your veterinarian immediately.
