How do you slide dough onto pizza stone?
To slide dough onto a pizza stone:
1. Preheat your oven and pizza stone to the desired temperature according to your pizza recipe.
2. Prepare your dough by shaping it into a round or desired shape.
3. Lightly dust a large cutting board or parchment paper with flour.
4. Place the prepared dough on the floured surface.
5. If using a pizza peel (a large flat tool with a long handle), place it under the dough, making sure it is fully supported by the peel. If you don't have a pizza peel, you can use a large baking sheet or a sturdy cardboard round covered with parchment paper.
6. Gently shake the peel back and forth to ensure the dough is not sticking to the surface.
7. Holding the peel close to the surface of the preheated pizza stone, quickly and carefully slide the dough onto it. If you're using a baking sheet or cardboard, carefully lift and transfer the dough to the stone.
8. Quickly close the oven door to maintain the heat inside.
Bake the pizza according to your recipe's instructions. Be careful when handling the hot pizza stone and oven.
