How to Make Homemade Hot Chocolate Fudge Sauce from Scratch
This hot fudge sauce is thick, fudgy, rich, inexpensive and easy to make. This recipe makes about 5 1/2 cups. It can also last for a while. Place any unused finished sauce in a glass jar and store it in a refrigerator. After just a few seconds in a microwave, the hot fudge will be warm enough to use over a dessert or as a dip.
Things You'll Need
- 12 oz. semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup butter
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 2 2/3 cup evaporated milk
- 2 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/8 tsp salt
- Jars
Instructions
-
Melt the butter and chocolate chips in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir the chocolate mix constantly until it melts.
-
Slowly add the powdered sugar and evaporated milk.
-
Increase the heat to bring the sauce to a boil. Stir constantly for 8 minutes. The ingredients must boil together for the sauce to maintain a proper consistency.
-
Remove the sauce from the heat and stir in the vanilla and salt.
