What is the plum pudding model and who come up with it?

Plum pudding model: Proposed by J.J. Thomson around 1904–1907, according to the plum pudding model or chocolate chip cookie analogy or watermelon seeds in a melon model of an atom, electrons were embedded throughout a massive, positive sphere.

This was the first scientific model describing an atom's inner structure. Plum pudding was the precursor to Rutherford's model, developed after the gold foil experiment.
