How do you make fortune cookies out of paper?
Here's how to make paper fortune cookies, a fun and easy craft:
Materials:
* Paper: Construction paper, origami paper, or even plain printer paper will work.
* Scissors
* Markers or pens
* Optional: Stickers, glitter, or other embellishments
Instructions:
1. Cut a square: Cut a square of paper, about 4-5 inches in size. The larger the square, the bigger your fortune cookie.
2. Fold in half: Fold the square in half diagonally to form a triangle.
3. Fold again: Fold the triangle in half again, bringing one point to meet the other.
4. Fold the sides: Fold the two bottom points of the triangle up towards the top point, so they overlap.
5. Fold the top: Fold the top point down, tucking it under the fold of the sides.
6. Fold the other side: Repeat step 5 on the other side, folding the top point down and tucking it under the other side's fold.
7. Open the fortune cookie: Gently open up the folded sections to form the fortune cookie shape.
8. Write your fortune: Write your fortunes or messages on small strips of paper. Insert a strip into the opening of the fortune cookie.
9. Decorate (optional): Use markers, glitter, or stickers to decorate your fortune cookies.
Tips:
* Use different colors: Experiment with different colors and patterns of paper.
* Creative fortunes: Write funny, inspiring, or silly fortunes to make your craft even more fun.
* Add a personal touch: Use your initials, a favorite quote, or a special message.
* Make them edible: You can also find fortune cookie molds for baking real fortune cookies!
Enjoy making your own paper fortune cookies! They're a fun way to share good luck and laughter with friends and family.
