Things to Do With Cookie Dough

Many have bought the premade cookie dough roll for a quick baking option. But what you may not realize is that countless simple and tasty recipes can be made using the dough in a short amount of time. The best part is everyone will think you slaved for hours making these delicious desserts.

Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Squares

  • These tasty treats require little time to make and will be devoured in even less time. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Cut the roll of cookie dough in half and evenly spread half the dough in an ungreased 8-inch pan. Mix 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter and 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla in a bowl until evenly blended. Pour the mixture over the cookie dough in the pan. Crumble the other half of the cookie dough over the top as evenly as possible. Bake for about 30 minutes and let cool for another half an hour. Refrigerate and serve cool.

Cookie Pizza

  • Preheat your oven to 325 degrees. Cut up the roll of cookie dough into smaller pieces. Press the dough down to cover the bottom of a greased 9-inch round pan, but save some dough. Crumble your favorite candies like mini M & M's or crumpled up Crunch bars over the dough. With any remaining dough, crumble evenly over the top. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Let the dessert cool before drizzling with chocolate syrup and candied sprinkles. Cut into triangular pieces and serve.

Peanut Butter S'more Bars

  • For this gooey recipe of goodness, all you need is 3 cups miniature marshmallows, 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips and 3/4 tsp. oil. Thoroughly grease a 13-by-9-inch pan before pressing the dough down into the pan. Bake this for 16 to 19 minutes, or until the dough becomes golden brown. Add the marshmallows. Bake for just two more minutes. In a saucepan, melt the chocolate chips and oil together; do not burn the chocolate. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cookie and marshmallow. If you want, sprinkle on broken up candy bars or M & M's. Let the dish cool before you dig into this delicious dessert.

Fruity Pizza

  • This sweet treat is especially refreshing on a hot, summer day. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Cut the dough into smaller pieces and pat down the entire roll of cookie dough onto a pizza pan. Bake for 12 minutes. Meanwhile, mix one 8-oz. package of cream cheese and 8 oz. marshmallow creme. Cut up fresh fruit like kiwi, peaches, strawberries and blueberries.
