Chocolate Crispie Cake: A Classic Treat

This recipe is a simple, classic chocolate crispie cake that's sure to be a hit!

Ingredients:

* 115g (4oz) butter

* 115g (4oz) caster sugar

* 2 large eggs

* 1 tsp vanilla extract

* 175g (6oz) plain flour

* 2 tbsp cocoa powder

* 100g (3.5oz) milk chocolate, broken into pieces

* 100g (3.5oz) white chocolate, broken into pieces

* 200g (7oz) Rice Krispies

* 1-2 tbsp milk

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F/Fan 160°C). Grease and line a square or round baking tin.

2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over a low heat.

3. Add the sugar and stir until dissolved.

4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

5. Sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt into a separate bowl.

6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.

7. In a separate bowl, melt the milk chocolate over a low heat or in the microwave.

8. Add the melted milk chocolate to the cake batter and stir well.

9. In another bowl, melt the white chocolate using the same method as above.

10. Add the Rice Krispies to the melted white chocolate and stir gently to coat.

11. Fold the Rice Krispie mixture into the cake batter.

12. Pour the batter into the prepared tin and spread evenly.

13. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.

14. Allow to cool in the tin for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
