Which is heavier it th cake or the ingredients of making a cake?
This is a bit of a trick question!
The ingredients of the cake will always be heavier than the finished cake.
Here's why:
* Evaporation: When you bake a cake, some of the moisture in the ingredients evaporates, turning into steam and escaping into the air.
* Chemical Changes: The baking process also involves chemical reactions that change the structure of the ingredients. This often results in a slight loss of weight.
So, even though you combine ingredients to create a cake, the finished cake will always be slightly lighter than the total weight of all the ingredients you started with.
