How do you make bon bons?
Ingredients:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts, sprinkles, or other toppings
Instructions:
1.) In a medium saucepan, combine heavy cream, sugar, and corn syrup. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly.
2.) Once the mixture has come to a simmer, remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla extract.
3.) Pour the mixture into a large bowl and place in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
4.) Once the mixture has chilled, use a cookie scoop to form small balls.
5.) Place the balls on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
6.) Melt semisweet chocolate chips in the microwave or a double boiler.
7.) Dip the bon bon balls into the melted chocolate, and then roll them in chopped nuts, sprinkles, or other toppings.
8.) Place the bon bons on the parchment paper lined baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate has hardened.
9.) Once the chocolate has hardened, the bon bons are ready to enjoy!
