How to Stop Banana Bread From Sticking to the Pan
For banana lovers, there's nothing like the smell of baking banana bread and eating it fresh from the hot oven. Made with mainly ripe bananas and flour, banana bread turns out in a variety of ways, depending on recipes that have been handed down for generations in some families. Because of the moistness in the banana bread, it tends to stick to the pan, resulting in a mess when you try to remove it. You can avoid the problem by taking preventative steps.
Things You'll Need
- Non-stick baking pan
- Parchment paper
Instructions
-
Bake the banana bread in a nonstick pan. This is the first defense in preventing the bread from sticking to the pan. Grease the pan generously as well.
-
Cut parchment paper to fit inside the bottom and sides of the pan. If you do not have a nonstick pan, lining the pan with parchment paper will prevent sticking.
-
Remove from the pan after 5 to 10 minutes of cooling on a wire rack. Banana bread left in the pan for a long time will be much harder to remove when it has dried to the bottom.
