Funfetti Cook-Off

• Cooking competition shows like to challenge contestants to work with special ingredients they might not typically use; this helps to showcase each contestant's culinary skills, as well as his ability to improvise. Consider hosting a similar challenge in your kitchen, inviting friends and family to participate in a competition where each person must create a dish using Funfetti cake mix in a certain amount of time. There are no rules for how the cake mix can or cannot be used, so you're bound to have some wacky interpretations. Hopefully you'll discover some tasty new favorite recipes. Pancake Breakfast

• Instead of baking a traditional cake from Funfetti mix, use the box contents to make pancakes for a special occasion like a birthday. You'll need half a box, or 2 1/2 cups, of Funfetti mix to combine with a cup of milk, an egg, 1/2 cup of flour and some butter or cooking spray to grease your frying pan. Make the mix as you'd make normal pancakes, and then for a special syrup, drizzle the cakes with a mixture of confectioners sugar and water.

Funfetti Happy Hour

• You won't be making alcoholic Funfetti cocktails for this happy hour, but you will be using the mix to create a sugary-sweet smoothie that could be the perfect pick-me-up after a long day. To make a smoothie, you need a blender, half a banana, 3/4 cup milk and 1/4 cup vanilla yogurt. To these ingredients add 4 tbsp of dry Funfetti cake mix. Blend up as many batches as you like for friends and family, or simply enjoy a single-serve smoothie for yourself.

Funfetti Cookie Party

• A package of Funfetti mix can be used to create cookie dough by simply adding 1/4 cup softened butter, 8 oz cream cheese, 1/4 tsp vanilla and an egg. Invite some friends over for a cookie baking and decorating party. You can experiment with a variety of shapes and sizes for the cookies, and once they've baked and cooled, you can spend some time on creative decorating. Use colorful frosting and sprinkles to embellish the tops of the cookies, or make your own Funfetti cookie sandwiches by placing a dollop of frosting, whipped cream or ice cream in between two cookies.
