What colors are female eggs?

Female eggs, or ova, are colorless or very pale yellow. You might think of eggs as being white or brown, but that's referring to the shell surrounding the egg, which is laid by birds and reptiles. The actual egg itself, the ovum, is a single cell and doesn't have a visible color.
