How long does it take ginger ale to freeze?

Ginger ale, like most other soft drink beverages, does not freeze into a solid form. Instead, it becomes slushy and the ice crystals form around the surface of the can or bottle. The time it takes for ginger ale to reach this slushy state depends on the temperature of the freezer and the amount of ginger ale in the container. Generally, a 16-ounce can of ginger ale will take about 4-5 hours to become slushy in a standard freezer.
