Are whole grain and multi breads the same?

Whole grain and multigrain breads are not the same.

1) Whole grain bread includes the entire grain kernel, including the endosperm, bran, and germ. Multigrain bread usually includes multiple types of grains, such as wheat, oats, rye, and barley, but not necessarily the entire grain kernel.

2) Whole grain bread offers superior nutritional benefits compared to multigrain bread. It is a good source of fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Multigrain bread may be a healthier choice over white bread, but it may not offer the same nutritional density as whole grain bread.

3) Whole grain bread tends to have a denser texture and a more pronounced flavor than multigrain bread. Multigrain bread may have a softer texture and a milder flavor.

4) Multigrain bread not to be confused with seeded bread, which is bread with seeds added to the dough, most often sunflower or pumpkin seeds.
