How to Warm Bread Without it Getting Hard (4 Steps)
Bread is best served warm, especially if the bread is served with a meal. Reheating your bread sounds like a simple task; however, if done improperly, the bread may harden, dry out or even turn into a chewy mess. Following a few simple steps will yield bread that is warmed throughout, maintains moisture and tastes like it was just removed from the oven.
Things You'll Need
- Bread
- Knife
- Foil
- Baking sheet
- Oven
- Microwave
- Paper towel
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Wrap soft breads tightly in aluminum foil. If you are reheating crusty breads, leave it unwrapped.
-
Place bread on a baking sheet and put the baking sheet into the preheated oven. Warm the bread in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes for soft bread, and 5 to 10 minutes for crusty bread, depending on the size of the loaf.
-
Remove the bread from the oven and remove foil. Slice the bread and serve immediately.
-
To microwave the bread, place the loaf on a paper towel in the microwave. Warm the bread for no more than 15 seconds.
