Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients:

- 1 pound ground beef

- 1/2 cup chopped onion

- 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper

- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes

- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste

- 1 teaspoon dried oregano

- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil

- 1/4 teaspoon salt

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

- 1 pound lasagna noodles

- 1 (15 ounce) container ricotta cheese

- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

- 1 egg

Instructions:

1.) Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

2.) In a large skillet, brown the ground beef, onion, and green bell pepper over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.

3.) Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4.) Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package directions. Drain and rinse with cold water.

5.) In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, and egg. Mix well.

6.) Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with a layer of noodles, then a layer of ricotta cheese mixture, and then a layer of meat sauce. Repeat the layers until all of the ingredients have been used.

7.) Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the lasagna is bubbly and the cheese is melted and golden brown.

8.) Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
