How do you make outback steakhouse sweet potato mash?
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/4 cup butter, divided
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the sweet potatoes and cook until they are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
2. Drain the sweet potatoes and return them to the pot. Add half of the butter, the brown sugar, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Mash the sweet potatoes until they are smooth and creamy.
3. Stir in the remaining butter. Taste the sweet potato mash and add more salt and pepper, if needed.
4. Serve the sweet potato mash immediately, garnished with parsley, if desired.
