Is it true that two teaspoons of nutmeg can get you high?
Nutmeg contains a hallucinogenic substance called myristicin. However, the concentration of myristicin in two teaspoons of nutmeg is very low, making it unlikely that you will experience hallucinatory effects.
For harmful effects to occur, a user would need to ingest somewhere around 5 to 15 whole nutmegs.
