Who invented cheese puffs?
The inventor of cheese puffs is disputed, but one popular claim is that they were invented by Elmer Doolin, a Kansas-based businessman and inventor. In 1935, Doolin created a machine that could automatically cut and shape dough, which he used to create a variety of snacks, including cheese puffs. He eventually sold his company, the Doolin Corporation, to the Frito-Lay Company, which continues to produce cheese puffs today.
