When were guinea fowl introduced in the US?
The first recorded instance of guinea fowl being brought to America was in 1502, when they were brought to Hispaniola by Christopher Columbus. However, it is believed that Spanish and Portuguese traders brought guinea fowl to North America (Florida) as early as 1539.
