Can you eat leeks if taking warfarin?
Vitamin K-Rich Foods
Do not eat a lot of foods that are high in vitamin K. These foods can affect how well warfarin works.
Some examples include:
* Green, leafy vegetables, such as spinach, kale, collard greens, and turnip greens
* Brussels sprouts
* Broccoli
* Cabbage
* Asparagus
* Soybean oil
* Salad dressings that contain soybean oil
* Green tea
This does not mean you cannot eat these foods. You just should not eat a lot of them. If you are not sure whether a certain food is high in vitamin K, ask your doctor or dietitian.
