Where does a pineapple come from?
Pineapples do not grow on trees, they grow from the ground. They start as a small plant with a rosette of leaves and a tuber-like root system. The flowers of the pineapple plant are small, white, and grow in a tight spiral at the top of the plant. After the flowers are pollinated, the multiple fruits fuse together to form the pineapple fruit. The pineapple fruit is a large, round, and tropical fruit with a sweet and tangy flavor.
