Is sour milk a acid or alkali?
Sour milk is acidic.
When milk turns sour, it is because the lactose (a sugar in milk) has been fermented by bacteria into lactic acid. This lactic acid is what gives sour milk its characteristic tangy taste. The pH of sour milk is typically around 4.6, which is more acidic than fresh milk (which has a pH of around 6.7).
