How long can you leave a raw turkey out of the refrigerator?
According to USDA guidelines, a raw turkey should not be left out for longer than two hours. This includes transit time back to your house from the store. If the turkey is left out for longer than this, at room temperature, it enters the "danger zone" where bacteria begins to grow rapidly, and poses a health risk if consumed.
