Why Jews eat shellfish?
According to Jewish dietary law, known as kashrut, the consumption of shellfish is prohibited. This prohibition is outlined in the Torah, specifically in Leviticus 11:9-12 and Deuteronomy 14:9-10, where certain animals, including shellfish, are declared unclean and unfit for consumption.
