What color are brine shrimp?
Brine shrimp are pinkish-orange in color when they are alive. This is because they contain a pigment called astaxanthin, which is also found in other crustaceans like salmon and shrimp.
However, the color of brine shrimp can vary slightly depending on their diet and the amount of astaxanthin they ingest. Some brine shrimp can appear more reddish or even slightly greenish, but the most common color is pinkish-orange.
