How to Marinate a Turkey

These moist, grilled turkey tenderloins marinate overnight in a savory teriyaki and soy sauce mixture.

Things You'll Need

  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup reduced sodium teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tbsp. red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. lime juice
  • 1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tsp. coarsely ground pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dried parsley flakes
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 2 lbs. turkey tenderloins

Instructions

  1. In a 2-cup measuring cup, combine the first 11 ingredients.

  2. Pour 2/3 cup into a large resealable plastic bag; add turkey. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade.

  3. Before starting the grill, coat grill rack with nonstick cooking spray. Drain and discard marinade from turkey. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 7 to 9 minutes; baste with reserved marinade. Turn and grill 7 to 9 minutes longer or until juices run clear.

  4. Serve with grilled asparagus and baked potato.
