Does anyone make seedless spaghetti sauce?
It's unlikely you'll find a commercially produced spaghetti sauce that is completely seedless. Here's why:
* Seeds add flavor and texture: Seeds are an integral part of tomatoes, and they contribute to the flavor and texture of the sauce. Removing them would significantly alter the taste and mouthfeel.
* Removing seeds is labor intensive: Manually removing seeds from large quantities of tomatoes would be very time-consuming and expensive for food manufacturers.
* Seedless tomatoes are rare: While there are some seedless tomatoes varieties, they are not commonly used for making sauce. They are often smaller and lack the flavor and texture of standard tomato varieties.
However, you can easily make your own seedless spaghetti sauce at home:
* Use canned tomatoes: Canned tomatoes are usually crushed or diced, making it easier to strain out the seeds.
* Use a sieve: After cooking the sauce, strain it through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the seeds.
* Use a food mill: A food mill will effectively separate the seeds from the pulp, creating a smoother sauce.
Ultimately, while finding a commercially seedless sauce is unlikely, you can easily create your own seedless version at home.
