What is a good sauce over ham?

Maple-Bourbon Glaze:

Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup maple syrup

- 1/4 cup bourbon whiskey

- 1/4 cup brown sugar

- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

- 1 teaspoon black pepper

- Pinch of salt

Instructions:

1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the maple syrup, bourbon, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, melted butter, black pepper, and salt.

2. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the sugar has dissolved and the glaze has thickened slightly.

3. Brush the glaze over the ham during the last 30 minutes of baking, or until the ham is heated through and has a nice glaze on top.

4. Serve the ham with any remaining glaze.

Tips:

- Use a good quality bourbon for the best flavor.

- You can also add other spices to the glaze, such as ground cloves or cinnamon.

- Serve the ham with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, and green beans.
