How Long to Cook Flank steak:
* Grilled: 8 to 10 minutes for medium-rare, or 12 to 14 minutes for medium.
* Pan-Seared: Sear the steak in a hot skillet over medium-high heat for 3 to 4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Reduce heat and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes for medium.
* Broiled: Broil the steak in the preheated broiler 4 to 6 inches from the heat source for 10 to 12 minutes for medium-rare, or 12 to 14 minutes for medium.
What Temperature to Cook Flank Steak:
The best internal temperature for flank steak is 125 degrees Fahrenheit for medium-rare and 130 to 135 degrees Fahrenheit for medium. Always use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of your steak.
