How long do you soak corn on the cob to grill?
You don't need to soak corn on the cob before grilling!
Soaking corn is typically done for boiling, not grilling. Here's why:
* Soaking for boiling: Soaking helps the corn cook faster and more evenly by allowing the water to penetrate the kernels.
* Soaking for grilling: The heat of the grill will cook the corn quickly and thoroughly. Soaking can actually make the kernels too soft and mushy.
Here's what you can do to prepare corn for grilling:
1. Remove husks and silks: You can leave the husks on for grilling, but it's best to remove the silks.
2. Lightly oil: Brush the corn with oil to prevent sticking and add flavor.
3. Grill: Place the corn over medium heat, turning every few minutes until the kernels are tender and slightly charred.
Enjoy your grilled corn! 🌽🔥
