How to Make Gourmet Grilled Restaurant-Style Hamburgers

These gourmet hamburgers have all of the delicious extras right in the meat -- there's no need for toppings or condiments!

Things You'll Need

  • 1 lb. lean ground sirloin
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 yellow onion
  • 1 medium jalapeno
  • 8 tbsp. cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Chop onion and jalapeno pepper finely.

  2. Place the ground sirloin in a mixing bowl and add 4 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce; mix very well with a spoon. Add the chopped onions jalapeno to the mixture and blend.

  3. Divide the mixture into four parts; this will make four quarter-pound burgers. Roll each part into a firm ball with your hands.

  4. Make an indentation in each ball and fill it with about 2 tablespoons of grated cheddar cheese. Fold each ball over to completely surround the cheese, as you do not want cheese to be directly exposed to the grill. Smash each ball into a flat, round patty.

  5. Grill on a very hot grill for about 6 to 8 minutes on each side, depending on your preference.
