Do striped bass live in fresh and salt water?
Striped bass are anadromous, which means they live in both fresh and salt water. They are born in fresh water, but migrate to the ocean as they mature. They then return to fresh water to spawn. Striped bass can be found in the Atlantic Ocean from the Gulf of Maine to North Carolina, as well as in rivers and estuaries along the coast.
