What do most fish have?
Most fish have a lot of things in common! Here are a few:
* Gills: Fish use gills to breathe oxygen dissolved in the water.
* Scales: Most fish have scales covering their bodies, offering protection and helping them move through the water.
* Fins: Fins help fish move, steer, and balance in the water.
* A tail: The tail provides propulsion, helping fish to swim.
* A backbone: Fish are vertebrates, meaning they have a backbone.
* A heart: Fish have a heart to pump blood throughout their bodies.
* Cold-blooded: Fish are cold-blooded, meaning their body temperature changes with the temperature of their environment.
These are just a few of the common features most fish share. There are, of course, many exceptions and variations within the diverse world of fish.
