What do anemone fish eat?

Anemonefish, also known as clownfish, are carnivorous and primarily feed on:

* Zooplankton: These are tiny aquatic animals that drift in the water. Examples include copepods, shrimp larvae, and jellyfish.

* Algae: They graze on small amounts of algae, especially in the early stages of life.

* Small invertebrates: They also eat small invertebrates like worms, crustaceans, and mollusks.

* Leftovers: They may also scavenge for food scraps dropped by their host anemone or other fish in the reef.

Important note: While anemonefish can get food from their host anemones, it's not their primary food source. The anemone's tentacles are venomous and the fish are immune to the toxins. They sometimes nibble on the anemone's tentacles to keep them clean but primarily get their nutrition from other sources.
