How to Make Easy Fantastic Lasagna (6 Steps)
This will make an easy-to-make lasagna that will leave people begging for the recipe. It's comfort food all the way -- no eggplant, no zuchini, no ricotta cheese. It's not from scratch -- who has time? But it's close enough to be special.
Things You'll Need
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 2 - 24 oz jars of Prego
- Traditional Pasta sauce
- 1 package oven-ready lasagna noodles
- 2 1/2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 c. shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 c. mushrooms (optional)
- 1 t. oregano
- 1/2 t. red chili peppers
- 3-4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 t. sugar
- PAM spray
- skillet
- larger pan (3 qt or more)
- lasagna pan
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350. Brown the ground beef. When it starts to brown, add the onion, mushrooms, garlic and some oregano and continue until the meat is browned. If you have to measure, make the oregano 1/4 teaspoon.

While browning the meat, add the Prego sauce and the rest of the spices and the sugar to the larger pan and start it heating. When it starts to pop (sauce will start to splatter), turn down the heat to low.

When the meat is brown, pour or spoon off as much liquid as possible then add the meat mixture to the sauce mixture. Turn up the heat a little and cook and stir on medium for 5 minutes then remove from heat.

Spray the lasagna pan with PAM spray to make cleanup easier. Spoon a little sauce on the bottom of the pan and spread it out with a spoon.

Layer as follows until you reach the top of the pan:
- lasagna noodles
- sauce
- mozzarella cheese (1/2 c.)
- cheddar cheese (all)
- lasagna noodles
- sauce
- mozzarella cheese (1 c.)
- lasagna noodles
- sauce (the rest of it)
- mozzarella (the rest of it)
- parmesan cheese (all of it)
- spinkle the top with more oregano -
Bake uncovered at 350 on a middle rack for about an hour. When it gets brown on top, it's done.
