How to Cook Dry Chickpeas in a Crock Pot
Chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans, are beige-colored legumes that are full of nutrients such as iron, folate and vitamin B6. You can use versatile, mild-tasting chickpeas to create a variety of healthful dishes, including soups, stews and hummus. You must cook dry chickpeas for several hours before preparing them to create a soft consistency. For convenience, prepare the legumes in a crock pot while you go about your day.
