If I freeze and thaw precooked chicken before the expiration date will still be valid or is it only good for 5 days after thawing?

Once precooked chicken has been thawed in the refrigerator, it can be kept for an additional 3-4 days before cooking; or can be refrozen.

After cooking, store leftover chicken in the refrigerator for up to 3 or 4 days; 4 months in the freezer; or use within 8 months on a frozen meal labeled with a “use-by” date.
