How to Make High Protein Granola
High protein granola gives your metabolism a boost first thing in the morning, or late in the day as a snack. It also provides you with a good source of quality fiber, which is important to keeping a healthy heart and colon. This high protein granola recipe is not only good for you, its also tasty and satisfying. Make extra for breakfast and snacks throughout the week. This is also a fun recipe to make with kids.
Things You'll Need
- A cookie sheet
- A large bowl
- 3 cups oatmeal
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup dried fruit (raisins, cherries, prunes, apricots, etc.)
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- Non-stick spray
How to Make High Protein Granola

Mix the oatmeal, dried fruit and cinnamon in the large bowl until it is well mixed.

Add the peanut butter and the corn syrup.

Mix the peanut butter and the corn syrup into the mixture. You may have to use your hands to get it well blended. This is the part of the recipe kids will love.

Spray the cookie sheet with the non-stick spray.

Spread the granola out on the cookie sheet.

Bake at 300 degrees F until almost dry.

Set out to cool.

Place in an airtight container.
