Here's a recipe for diabetes friendly pork sausage:
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup finely diced onion
- 1/4 cup finely diced green bell pepper
- 1/4 cup finely diced red bell pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, bread crumbs, onion, bell peppers, salt, black pepper, cinnamon, allspice, and cloves. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
3. Gradually add the almond milk and mix until the mixture just comes together and holds its shape. Do not overmix, as it can make the sausage tough.
