How to Make Raspberry Tea

Drinking tea not only is a good way to keep yourself hydrated, but it also is a great way to promote good health. Raspberry tea combines a healthy drink with a delicious fruit to make a beverage that is good for you and relatively cheap and easy to make. It can be chilled with ice during the summer or kept hot during the winter for a warming treat.

Things You'll Need

  • 8 cups of water
  • 3/4 to 1 cup sugar
  • 5 to 6 individual tea bags
  • 3 to 4 cups unsweetened raspberries or 1 to 2 cups raspberry concentrate
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Boil 4 cups of water in a large saucepan. Stir in sugar until it is fully dissolved, and remove the pan from heat.

  2. Place the tea bags in the water, and let them steep for 5 to 8 minutes. The longer you let the tea bags steep, the stronger the tea will be. Discard the tea bags. Add 4 more cups of water into the tea.

  3. If using fresh raspberries, boil them and some extra water in a separate saucepan for 3 minutes. Strain the raspberries and discard the raspberry pulp. Add the juice to the tea and stir well.

  4. If using raspberry juice concentrate, add the concentrate with some water and mix well.

  5. Put the tea in the fridge to chill, and add ice if desired.
