How to Use a Teavana Year of the Dragon Cast Iron Teapot
The Teavana Year of the Dragon cast iron teapot is an Asian-inspired teapot. It has an enamel lining to prevent the inside of the pot from rusting. The cast iron body prevents the pot from cracking or chipping and holds heat well. Teavana sells the pot with a mesh tea infuser, which keeps the grounds from loose-leaf teas out of your cup and makes it easier to clean the pot.
Things You'll Need
- Teakettle
- Teavana teapot
- Loose-leaf tea
Instructions
-
Remove the lid from the Teavana cast iron teapot. Take out the mesh tea infuser.
-
Fill the tea infuser with loose-leaf tea. The more tea you put in the infuser, the stronger your tea will be.
-
Put the tea infuser back in the Teavana teapot by lowering it into the hole in the top until the lip of the infuser rests on the top of the hole.
-
Fill a teakettle with water. Bring the water to a boil on high heat.
-
Pour the boiling water from the teakettle into the teapot. Replace the lid of the teapot. Let the tea steep until it reaches the strength you desire. The longer you leave it sitting, the stronger the tea will get.
-
Lift the teapot by the black handle and slowly pour tea out through the spout.
-
When you are done, remove the lid and discard the wet leaves from the mesh strainer.
